Mission
Statement
The goal of this ministry is to nurture the spiritual development of the youngest members
of our congregation. To provide lessons and age appropriate worship activities for ages
preschool to 1st grade. Our aim is to prepare the children for participation in a meaningful worship
experience as they continue to grow in knowledge of the Lord.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Children's Church and Nursery Ministry is a vital and challenging ministry that began
in February 1991. Our goal is to "Carry on the Life of Jesus" by nurturing the
spiritual development of children ages Preschool to 1st grade and providing supervisory care for
children 2 years and under during the 10:45 AM Church Service. We worship the Lord
through learning experiences and age appropriate planned activities.
There are four coordinators who are responsible for the planning and preparation of
lessons and activities for each Sunday. Each coordinator schedules adequate coverage from
our rotating list volunteers.
The Children's Church and Nursery Ministry provide a nurturing and loving structured
environment where spiritual development is taking place through prayer, songs and
storytelling.
Every Sunday children ages 3 and under remain in the Little Lamb's Room. Children ages 4
and older participate in the Worship Service in the Main Sanctuary for a portion, the go
to the Chapel for a special Mini-Worship with a Minister and then to the classroom for
activities.
