Rev. Carter,
My family and I had the privilege to be guests today at Berean Church, in Phoenix, AZ and had the opportunity to hear you preach/teach on Genesis 21:14-21 and what a powerful message you delivered and your title "I should not be alive." After reading verse 17 so many times, it was such a blessing to be reminded how when God hears our cries, he definitely blesses his children as he has promised.

We thank you for the word and may God bless you, your family and your Calvary Baptist Church.

To Pastor Carter Jr., and the Calvary Baptist Church: My soul was blessed on Sunday April 11, 2010, at the second service. As a visitor, I witnessd the love and the fellowship when I entered into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise.  I also was blessed, with a cd from Sis. Monroe on the sermon,
"The Counter Mission". I also was blessed to get in on the Sunday school lesson, the three lusts. Not to mention Pastor Carter, your illustration of the text message. Just good word. The Lord bless this ministry in Jesus name.

I am not a visitor, but a member(new). I do like the "Website", and it is just what I anticipated (excellence). I have been having a "love affair" with Calvary Baptist for a no# of years. A frequent visitor is what some may have called me. I was always inspired by Pastor Carter's message. How could I forget that stirring Sermon in 2002, when he did a series on the "Seven Churches" taken from Revelation. It was almost shameful to see me leaving my own local fellowship to attend Pastor Carter's Bible Study. The humility of his wife was another bonus, not to mention the members genuine expression of love! It was against this backdrop that I decided that it was time to end the affair with Calvary and become a part of the family. More importantly, I wanted a Pastor with a Pastor's heart, one who truly loves his sheep! Another thing, I am excited about "Vision 2010", and looking forward to greater things that the Lord has in store for "Calvary".

You were a breath of fresh air today and just what I needed to get past my troubles for a few hours, and I appreciate you. Dear Pastor Carter, On August 25, 2007 I was in Columbus, Ohio and saw your brother Chris, during our conversation he informed me that you were pastoring in NJ and doing very well. When I returned to NC, I found your church website and began listening and viewing your sermons. I have been Blessed. I have shared your website and messages with my husband and friends, who have also been encouraged through your gift. As a former high school classmate from MHS, I was able to reflect back and remember the quiet spirit you displayed during what many call the difficult years (ages 14-18). God's word is true, "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it". Therefore, it was no surprise when I read how God has blessed you in the ministry. As I read some of the other comments in your guest book, I noticed you have preached in the Charlotte, NC area on several occasions, I would love to hear you in person, so if someone can inform me of your next engagement in this area, I certainly would appreciate it. May God continue to bless you, your wife, children, and church family. Karen Wilson-Kemp '84

Dearest Pastor Carter, Family and Friends. Your website is truly a blessing. It has been seven years since I relocated to high point, I truly miss CBC, I must say that God is good wherever you are, I have been called to work with our youth ministry and I first thank God and then Calvary for truly teaching and preaching the gospel. I am blessed beyond measure.

Dear Reverend Carter,  I heard from Norm Burroughs that you were getting your doctorate. I wanted to offer my genuine congratulations to you.  I remember working with the Calvary people with their connection to Redeemer Episcopal Church's meals for those in need. I was always impressed by your sermons. Living away from New Jersey, your website is a blessing. My very best regards.  Jim Durante

It is good to see a bit of home so far away from home and to keep up with what's going on at my home church back in Morristown. I listen to the audio of Rev. Carter's sermons because my Baptist church here in Australia lacks a certain feeling that I had back at Calvary.

I am inspired by your messages and it's apparent that God has chosen you to be a living sign to a dying world and to relay the message of the redemption of Jesus Christ. My Pastor, Jerry Carter, You have been on my mind lately and as I sat at my computer doing some work, the spirit lead me to check and see if Calvary had a website. Although it has been a long time since Mary and I were physically part of the Calvary family, you are always on our minds and in our prayers. I am always so happy and thankful to hear how God is using you and Calvary in the Morrisotwn community and beyond. Calvary will always be our "home" church and you our pastor. We are hoping to join you for homecoming this year. We pray that you continue to be lead by Proverbs 3:5,6. Lee & Mary Topps

On Monday, October 11, 2004, my choir was invited to sing at the Annual Fall Revival at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC, where Rev. Donnie Garris is the pastor. I invited some of my friends to come to church with me that night and we all were extremely blessed from the awesome and on-time needed words from Rev. Carter. The sermon uplifted and inspired my friends and me and we were hoping to get back another night, but our own churchs (Mayfield Memorial Baptist Church INC-Charlotte, NC, where Rev. Claude Forehand is our Interim Preacher) obligations prevented us from returning. However, please be sure to send me an e-mail telling me when Rev. Carter will return back to Charlotte, NC or Baltimore, MD to preach and/or teach and we will be sure to be in attendance. Truly Inspired, Bro. Percell W. Hobbs

Greeting Family from Oklahoma! Dorothy was correct when she said, "There's no place like home!" The website is a loud testimony to what is important to Pastor Carter and the members of CBC. I love showing people the website. See you soon.

I am writing to thank the people who work on Calvary's web site. I joined Calvary in November of 2003 after I found it on the Web. I was looking for a Baptist church in my area and I looked at many websites. Calvary's web page had a spirituality and emphasis on Christ that appealed to me, and I think the web page is very well done. I do not know who created this, but I wanted to thank you for introducing me and my family to Calvary. God bless you all! Rob Martorana

Pastor Carter, Today's sermon was one of those "he's talking directly to me" days. I have been challenged by outside "things" competing for my attention. And in many instances, I allowed those "outside" things a place in my life on a consistant basis. And so on Saturday, I just sat still for most of the day. I wrote a dialogue in my journal talking about the samethings you addressed this morning. While I did not think about focus, I asked for a stronger discipline, enduring commitment, lasting enthusiasm... There no accidents in life. Thanks for the message. There is a ministry in your message this morning that all members can participate. That is bridging the gap between the "WORD" and the "DEED", between religion and spirituality. Thank you. Al Head
