Goals
Increase self-awareness and self-esteem within teenage girls
- Provide a safe environment on a bi-weekly basis allowing teenage girls to
explore
who they are and who they want to become
- Provide ministry leaders that represent positive female role models and who
are
able to assist teenage girls in developing leadership skills
- Conduct one-on-one sessions with teenage girls to set personal goals
- Conduct one-on-one sessions with teenage girls to bring up her grades in a
particular subject
- Provide teenage girls with the necessary level of support
- Facilitate discussion sessions among teenage girls to provide support
Increase community involvement with teenage girls
- Administer workshops that will help teenage girls become aware of the
obstacles
that teenage girls face today (i.e. teen violence, teen pregnancy, date rape, lack
of positive female images in media, etc.)
- Plan and attend community service projects with teenage girls
-Provide cultural
events for teenage girls to participate in and learn from
(i.e. cultural programs,
retreats, and college visits, etc.)
